Scrabble tile crafts!!!
My 9 year old and I love to craft together, and have since she was just little.  We wanted to post some of the fun crafts we have found.

We have taken the scrabble tile and made them into paperclip toppers.  We have found these make great thank you presents, teacher appreciation gifts, and even fun Christmas gifts!

We have been taking some photos sizing them down, modge podging them on to the scrabble tile - letting that dry - and then putting an epoxy sticker over the top.  We tried the glazes and had a hard time making them look really nice.  We ordered the epoxy stickers off of amazon.  They are great!!  Then you can hot glue or use strong glue and glue the tile onto the paperclip!!! I love the personalized ones the best!!

We also purchased some bails to make them into necklaces.  I recommend the small bails.  I have medium on these, but I thought they were a bit big.  Again gluing them on with strong glue like E6000.  I went through some old photos found some I loved of my kiddos and made necklaces.  I am a photo nut and love anything with photos.

If you would like us to make these for you or have any questions please email us at jerbarbsam@yahoo.com

Scrabble Tile Wreath!!!

Look at this fun and easy wreath!!!  You take a wire hanger bend it in a circle, put clothes pins all around it then take material and weave it around the clothes pins.  I did brown on the outside, red under the brown weaving opposite of the brown, and blue weaved the same as the brown on the bottom.  I then took the scrabble tiles of my kids and glued them on the clothes pins on the blue material and have a wreath of fun memories.

St. Patrick's Material Wreath!!!
We found this adorable wreath on line and added a twist to it.  You take a wire hanger strips of material, a small wire and more strips of material.  So the first thing you do is to cut the strips into 1" width by 16" long.  We used 4 different patterns for this one.  Tie the fabric pieces all around the wire hanger, and do the same for the smaller wire.  You will have 2 different wreaths now.  Put the smaller one inside the big one and tie them together in the back to give it a full look.

We are making different colors for different holidays and will post them as we go.  This one was for St. Patrick's Day!!

4th of July Wreath!!!
Use a wire hanger put it in the shape of a circle- cut up a t-shirt -1" wide by 2" long.  We used a red, white and blue t-shirt.  Then we tied them on the hanger.

Pipe Cleaner Creations!!!
My daughter loves pipe cleaners and makes tons of fun things with them.

Barrette Weaving!!!
I found this darling craft on Family Fun about 5 years ago and have loved it ever since.
You will need one yard each of two colors of 1/8 - inch satin ribbon.
Slide the ribbon into the bend of the barrette, center the barrette in the middle of the ribbon.
Bring one end of the ribbon over one bar of the barrette and under the second.
Do the same with the other ribbon end.
Keep braiding, alternating the ribbon ends, until the entire barrette is covered.
Knot the ribbon and leave the rest to hang.
The first few are the hardest
It looks so cute in girls hair and is a lot of fun to make.
